Bets Cole American, b. 1951

Bets Cole earned her undergraduate degree at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and her Master's of Fine Arts at the University of Oregon in Eugene, OR. Her work is included in the following permanent collections: M & T Investment Group (Baltimore, MD), Marathon Coach (Eugene, OR), Oregon State University (Corvallis, OR), and the University of Oregon.
 
Recent exhibits include High Desert to High Tide, Solo Show, Umpqua Community College (Roseburg, OR); The Northwest Landscape, Invitational Exhibit, Karin Clarke Gallery (Eugene, OR); Vistas & Vineyards Plein Air Show (Corvallis, OR); Portland Rental Sales Gallery & Oregon Society of Artists, Members Show (Portland, OR); Line, Value & Color, Solo Show, Karin Clarke Gallery, 2017 (Eugene, OR).
 
Additionally, Bets' paintings have been included in numerous publications, including Visual Magic: An Oregon Invitational (Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, 2019), Microbiomes: To See the Unseen (The Corvallis Arts Center, 2017) and, David McCosh: Learning to Paint is Learning to See by Roger Saydack (2017).
