Passengers: New Paintings by Eugene Artist Adam Grosowsky
Exhibition Dates: December 2 – January 16
First Friday Reception: Friday, December 4, 5:30–7:30 p.m.
Eugene artist Adam Grosowsky presents Passengers, an exhibition of new paintings exploring the fleeting moments, quiet encounters, and shared experiences that shape our journeys through the world. Through moody figurative works and evocative landscapes, Grosowsky reflects on the transience of life and our place within it.
“We are all just visiting this earth, like traveling down the river or riding a train,” says Grosowsky. This sense of passing through—of being both present and in motion—runs throughout the exhibition. His paintings capture moments that feel suspended in time, inviting viewers to consider the beauty, mystery, and impermanence of everyday experience.
Figures occupy a central place in Passengers, including a series of with ballet dancers whose gestures and interactions suggest the rhythms of movement, connection, and transition. Grosowsky’s expressively and boldly painted works balance the intimacy of human experience with a sense of something larger and beyond our control.
The exhibition also features a new body of local landscapes, including paintings inspired by Mount Pisgah and the surrounding Eugene area.
The exhibition runs December 2 through January 16. The public is invited to attend a First Friday reception on Friday, December 4, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
