Betsy Wolfston American, b. 1959

Betsy Wolfston is a Eugene ceramicist whose works include large public installations and smaller high-relief tiles. She's been exhibiting for decades and has numerous commissioned public works in our region.


Wolfston earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1983 at the University of Oregon. She attended the West African program of the Parsons School of Design, and she was Artist in Residence at the Contemporary Crafts Gallery in Portland, Oregon, in 1991. In addition to her own work she's also admired as an educator in the arts, and served on many arts juries and selection committees in Oregon.
