The State Capital just purchased Margaret Coe's recent painting "Craytor Lake 2" for it's collection. A reception to honor this work and the entire collection will be in September.
Bets Cole was invited to show her work at the Governor's Office at the State Capitol in Salem! The show will close June 24th. Craig Cheshire will be showing there June 28 - July 29. Humberto Gonzalez will be showing there in September. Congratulations to all three wonderful artists!
We have just learned that our dear friend and well known artist, Miriam Kley, has passed away. She will be missed. Our gallery will be hosting a studio sale at her home, in July.
We are deeply saddened with the news that our dear friend and valued art collector, Adell McMillan, has passed away. The Erb Memorial Union on the University of Oregon Campus named a gallery after her as she was formerly its highly regarded director. We will miss her warmth and friendship dearly.
The Carl Hall Gallery of Pacific Northwest and American Art re-opens on March 4, 2010 at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art in Salem. They are showcasing their recent acquisitions.

Margaret Coe's paintings "La Plage Boneparte #2" (oil on canvas, 42x72) and "La Plage Boneparte #1" (acrylic, 19x35) were purchased by the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art (click here to see her piece on the very right).
