Register-Guard Review 2006 2004 Story by Bob Keefer/Register-Guard George Kettlewell graduated from Kent State University in 1970
with a BFA in painting. He studied with painters Dan Rohn and Leroy Flint, and sculptor Paul Baus. There he met Kersti Hamann, also
an art student. Together they opened an art gallery called Silver
Lake Gallery.
They moved to Oregon in 1972. In Cannon Beach, George and Kersti turned to ceramics, had a ceramic studio for 17 years and the Ocean Pottery Gallery for 10 years.
